Asja Rokša-Zubčević is a partner at research consultancy Wager-Hatfield. Asja holds a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Illinois at Chicago, USA, and an M.A. in Human rights and democracy from the University of Bologna and the University of Sarajevo. She is the co-author of several publications, books and articles on audiovisual policy and regulation. She has worked at the Communications Regulatory Agency (RAK) of Bosnia and Herzegovina for a number of years, dealing with all aspects of regulatory issues for audiovisual media sector. She was involved in the defense of freedom of expression case before the Human Rights Chamber of BIH. She performed as a judge at the Monroe E. Price Media Law Moot Court. Asja represented Bosnia and Herzegovina in the work of the Standing Committee for Transfrontier Television and many other international fora. Asja excels in the fields of right to freedom of expression and right to privacy and their derogation, drafting and reviewing of audiovisual primary/secondary legislation and broadcasting codes, self and co-regulatory mechanisms, research and data-collection, jurisdiction matters, promotion of European works, protection of minors, hate speech, media pluralism, AI, digital media, media and information literacy, etc.
