Aleksandar Hemon’s workshop “Writing for the Public – Literature and Journalism” is the first workshop that Hemon held in Bosnia-Herzegovina. He is presently living in Paris and writing a new book. You can read an interview with Aleksandar Hemon below.

The workshop is designed for directors, owners, managers and everyone interested in advancing their know-how on the marketing elements of a media outlet.
Fifteen journalists and publicists from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia and Serbia tested and expanded their writing skills on practical examples. “Aleksandar Hemon passed on to us the same advice that Rainer Maria Rilke and Danilo Kiš gave to young writers,” said a participant in the workshop.
Journalism students in Sarajevo and Banja Luka were very interested in a presentation of the NetNovinar portal (www.netnovinar.org) and training center for journalists, joint projects of Mediacentar Sarajevo and Investigative Journalism Center from Zagreb. Along with students, some of their professors and instructors attended.
