B-H journalists may attend a workshop entitled “Human Trafficking: Prevention and Protection in B-H” and write investigative stories about human trafficking on a topic of their choice. The workshop will take place on 22-24 April 2007 at Mediacentar Sarajevo. The language of the workshop is B/C/S. The organizer will cover participants’ full costs. Final date for applications: 13 April 2007.

Editors of Bosnian-Herzegovinian print media and broadcasters are invited to apply for participation in the workshop “Analytical Reporting – Justice and Security in B-H.” Participants will learn more about reform processes for the judiciary and security services in B-H and advance their style of reporting on these issues. The organizer will cover participants’ travel and living expenses. The workshop will be held at Mediacentar on 4-5 April 2007. Closing date for applications: 22 March.

Reporting on Judiciary and Security in B-H

Journalists from B-H broadcasters and print media are invited to apply for the first generation of the program “Analytical Reporting – Justice and Security in B-H.” The program will take place from April to July 2007 and is designed in a way that does not interrupt regular work in newsrooms. Participants will be better acquainted with investigative methods of analytical reporting on reforms of judiciary and security services in B-H. The organizer will cover participants’ full costs. Dominic Medley: I will return to Afghanistan

Dominic Medley, journalist and media consultant, lived in Bosnia-Herzegovina from 1996 to 2001, working as Trainer/Educator for the BBC School of Journalism at Mediacentar Sarajevo and member of a team charged with setting up the Public Broadcasting Service within the Office of the High Representative (OHR). He recently returned from Afghanistan, where he spent three years working on various media projects. During his visit to Mediacentar Sarajevo on 22 February, we talked to Mr. Medley about his time in Afghanistan. You can read the interview here.
