Social Innovation Camp Internews
Interested in working on innovative, online solutions for challenging social problems? Be part of Social Innovation Camp Internews, set for this summer in Bosnia!
Taking place in Sarajevo on July 9-10, Social Innovation Camp Internews will be an intense two days where developers, designers, and social innovators compete in self-organized teams to build web-based tools for social impact. The event will bring together people from across Central and Eastern Europe and the CIS countries. Each team will take an early-stage idea that tackles a social problem, and turn it into a social start-up complete with working software, a community platform, and a business model. At the final Show and Tell session an expert jury will vote for the winning ideas that demonstrate the greatest potential to create real change.
SIC Internews is not about improving NGOs but about people power, using the web to reorganize the world from the grassroots up. It's about using the power of the web to help individuals connect and collaborate – in completely new ways – to change things that are important.
